Good wired replacement for PX5s

Thread Starter
So, last year I bought some PX5s. I was really dissapointed to find out the mic is bluetooth, so I had to spend extra for a bluetooth dongle. Well, then I find out the bluetooth audio sounds like Im under water, so I'm once again left dissapointed. So I search some stuff up, and turns out you can get good mic quality as long as you have the mic plugged in. So, now the $200 wireless headphones are just heavy wired headphones. BUT WAIT, THERE IS MORE. Turns out you can't just use your own 2.5mm audio cable, you hae to use their special cable. Which costs $20 and is 16 feet long....AND may need their usb sound card to work, which is another $30.....yeah....Never again Turtle Beach.

So, there is the background info. I don't quite know how much I could get on ebay for them, but a I assume a good amount.

So now I'm looking for a wired headset, wireless seems like a scam to me until they perfect this. What gaming headsets have good audio quality as well as mic quality? Mic is definitally important to me....I'm admin on a lot of servers and I like to talk ^^" Plus I have a really deep voice which mics sometimes have a hard time capturing.

I'd personally suggest to get a good pair of headphones and a seperate mic instead of getting an all-in-one headset.
If you really do prefer a headset, Sennheiser PC 360 is very good. But for $200, it is quite expensive however.

Well I just ordered a blue snowball. A good desktop mic seems like the best way to go. I haven't decided if I'm keeping or selling the PX5s yet.

Recently I purchased some Tritton 720+ for my PC. Couldn't be happier. Got them for 140 @ Gamestop. The audio quality is very comparable to any studio headset I've used and recording my voice sounds just about as good as it gets. Took a little time to get them setup, make sure you use optical out and not USB as your default output device if your wanting surround. You may have to adjust sampling rate/bitrate as well. This is what kept mine from playing I had it set to high.
