yeah , i'm really happy that BF3 got conquered by this budget notebook , i should report that i was on catalyst 13.1 driver

i think CPU was under 100% load since steam was downloading and chrome was opened

so far the only problem that not only MSI notebooks got but many other win8 notebooks is the ( configuring windows features ) during a reboot , not a real cure for it so far and it takes 10 minutes sometimes with me while others reported 22 minutes wait *__*

anyway , now i know i should stay away from MP ( not a big fan actually ) and stick to SP

gonna give sleeping dogs and witcher2 a run 2morrow

kx11, I'm thinking about getting this laptop as well. Do you still like it? Any wear and tear over time that you can tell me about? Has it held up well for the couple months you've had it?

Thanks! thumb.gif

EDIT: Also, how many drive bays does it have? I see that the Hitman edition has two, but the one is filled with 2 SSD chips and a sisterboard. I'm wondering if I can install a "full-size" 2.5" SSD and a HDD at the same time?

well so far i'm having a good time with it , i enjoyed a lot of the games i played on mid-to-high settings @ 1080 , also win8 doesn't suck a lot of power and boot in less than 60 seconds for me

however i spent a month trying to stop a problem which the infamous " configuring windows features " during a restart , magically the problem vanished but i think it's because of the recent driver updates for the APU ( mobility drivers )

the edition i got is the 1AC which is the one with no dragon stickers on it at all , i'm not sure about installing SSD and HDD , i haven't checked on that but mine came with 750gb 7200rpm HDD , there's a bios update to set it @ raid

Awesome, thanks for getting back to me. I saw that it comes with a HDD cage/ insert on the newegg store page was included in the box. I'm just going to assume that it will have an extra drive bay, if not, my desktop will have a new gaming drive! This is what I'm going to try to install: SanDisk Ultra Plus SDSSDHP-128G-G25

I already ordered it because I was impatient. I'll update you when I get it and install the SSD. I'll let you know if it's possible.

I have also ordered the 1AC model. Hoping that the A10 doesn't bog too badly with newer games since this it's specs are almost year old! Either way, I'm sure I will be happy enough since LANing will be much easier with a laptop than a full tower, monitor, keyboard, etc.

I'm very aware. I've done a lot or research for the pricepoint I was willing to pay at.

So far I HATE Windows 8. Also made the mistake of downloading Live Update 5 (it isn't made to work on laptops?) which did some major damage to the OS install causing .NET Framwork issues and wouldn't uninstall with the uninstall.exe/ didn't show up in programs. I'm going to try to install Windows 7 to see if I like it any better.

The switchable graphics didn't seem to want to work, but I didn't try any of that until I had already screwed up the OS... Oh well.

SSD install was easy as pie.

I am just glad many companies still offer windows 7 laptops , I am hoping that is still the case in another couple months when it could be time for me to buy. That or I will have to look into a linux laptop. I will never sign into my os or deal with tablet tiles.
