Ok cool. Thanks! So I just bought that cooler. Pumped to get it. I'm sure it will help because the Cooler Master 212 EVO that I have is kind of broken. One of the locking screws turns so its hard to get it tight on one corner so I'm sure ths will be a big improvement.

So I brought it up to 44Ghz and this are the graphs on a quick 5 minute play. I was getting 60fps pretty much the whole time. Do you think v-sync could have something to do with my GPU usage being low because it only has to produce 60fps?

Idk I'm not too into CPU water cooling at the moment. Just personal preferance I guess. I'm going to eventually de-lid and that will bring down my temps even more. I'm not trying to go for a crazy overclock I just want my CPU to be cooler than it is right now.

Yes

From what I have read your cpu is safe up into the 80's while stress testing, and when gaming it never gets as hot.

I turned off V-sync and my gpu usage still fluctuates, but stays mostly in the 90's. FPS is improved also.

The TJ Max of my Ivy Bridge CPU is 105c, but I'm not happy when it goes over 80c. This new cooler should def help. Also it has more direct contact with my CPU so that will help too. The thing is BIG. Thank god I have low profile RAM!

if vsync is on your fps wont go over 60, so ye that's why your gpu usage is low smile.gif

Use afterburner 3.0.0 beta 6 for overclocking.
