Testing 3770k at 4.7Ghz

Thread Starter
So, i have reached 4.7Ghz and started testing it.

Unfortunately, I couldn't keep Prime95 overnight as it was crashing like 30-60 min after starting.
So, I tried Aida64 to stress CPU, FPU, Cache, RAM and GPU for 13.5 hours. I don't know if it's good enough to use Aida for stress tests?

Here's what I got:

As you can see, the highest temp by Aida is 86 Celsius, and by Real Temp: 88 Celsius

Do you think i can stay at my 4.7Ghz as stable clock or should i make some other steps?

If Prime95 crashes after 30-60 minutes, you need to raise vcore (or tweak something else), not use a different program. tongue.gif

What temps were you getting in P95?

And what Vonnis said, if p95 is crashing, something needs to be adjusted, probably the Vcore (it will also increase temps, so be careful).

I'd just check for WHEA errors every now and then and test some games to see if it's truly stable, but it looks pretty solid. I personally run 5 mins or so of prime95 and then game (BF3 for example), and if WHEA errors pop up or i crash i up the vcore up a notch or two.

I was getting a little bit lower temps than when testing with Aida. It was like 2-3 degrees lower.

I am playing Crysis 3 and BF3 for 2 days with these settings and it never crashed or brought problems

Maybe I just used wrong setting in Prime95?
I used: In-place Large FFTs preset

You can't use a "wrong setting" in Prime95 that causes it to crash. If it crashes or returns even one error, your system isn't fully stable regardless of what test settings you were using.
