Your cpu may be the culprit on that one. I have no such issue on my 7870.

maybe but I can't see how a 7870 could be better than a 7950

This sounds like you have some serious bottlenecking going on.

7950 with a fx4100 at low resolution(cpu does the work) equals bottleneck - poor component compatibility choices
post #15 of 20
A 7870 would be excellent for 1366x768 but have you thought about upgrading to 1920x1080? I would see that as a bigger priority.

When I had my 7870 and my 1600x900 monitor I could max every game and get 50+fps with a 1100/1450 OC. When I got my 1080p monitor that dropped to about 35-40fps(with exceptions to Cyrsis which was in the low 20s)

Needless to say I got a 7950 for cheap, and now i'm ballin' outta control biggrin.gif

edit* also I've noticed alot of games at 1080p like to hover around the 1900-2k vram range so a 7870 might not be the best of choices
