Yeah, I'll probably end up with extras, but it's also because I don't know exactly how I'm going to orient things yet!

Thanks - T

OK THEN.

I am tossed all the bloody F to heck over storage....

I get two SATA 6 GB/s slots, and I want an SSD for sure. Duh.
But I don't do encoding, and the only data-heavy thing I'll ever do is BOINC or F@H, and from what I understand, that isn't even data-heavy.

ERGO, I don't need a NAS server or any of that crap.

I want ALL of my games and programs on my SSD, though. EVERY SINGLE installed item = SSD bound.

So, I'm thinking a Samsung 500GB SSD, and a WD 2TG Green HDD.

Fair?

Thanks - T

AND another question:

I will be starting with a fresh Windows install, since this is a fresh computer, and given that....

Windows 7?

OR...

Windows 8?

AAAAAAAND fight. tongue.gif

I've been using Windows 8 for 6 months and its fine. The start screen kind of suck, but its not that bad once you get used to it. Hit the windows button and start typing to search for programs. If you don't like it then you can always do the start menu mod. The updated task manager is worth the upgrade IMO.

Can you pin games and programs like Ventrilo and MOX Parser to tiles? If so, I'm good to go. redface.gif

Thanks - T
