Yeah, I don't have the diagram up at the moment, but being that the 2 "extras" I'm speaking of are made to be un-clipped for 6-pin vs. 8-pin setups, they can't possibly be the +12 and -12 anyway........ that would make no sense! kookoo.gif

Yeah that is what I thought that they were all either grounds or 1 of each but you said they are grounds so must be so... biggrin.gif

PHOTO DUMP!
More like a wet fart...

Got my cables in, found the VGA power and 8-pin motherboard to both be too short, so extensions were bought from PPC. Won't take two weeks to get this time. rolleyes.gif
I'm curious about the little blue wire visible in some of the pics. It protrudes from the same opening that the pump power does, so I was wondering if it was a ground, but that would make no sense... Any help?

Here goes!

My cables!

Good quality sleeving!

good connectors with gold pins!

It is tight in there!
Side note: had to flip the power supply back over (so it is now drawing air down from the bottom of the motherboard when powered on) to accommodate the bend and flow of the main ATX cable. Sorta sucks, but I'm ok with it, I suppose...

I went ahead and tucked them behind the pump after, but this is how small the area is...

Tight is right...
And here's a question: Even with the pump top having the fill port, the instructions say use the inlet on the side of the pump body, but yet the top inlet is obviously capable of holding a fitting and tubing as well. Should I worry about stressing the plastic top and body with the tubing run, or use the inlet?

So there's the motherboard 8-pin, going the long way around. Extensions are on the way, and they will be routed up and overthe rear exhaust fan, then down the far side and into the pinout!

Glad to finally get cables in it, even if it's only two or three so far! redface.gif

Let me know what you think!!!

Thanks - T

About half of them.

I want this running faster than I'm willing to wait to learn, TBH.

Many would call that lazy, etc, but frankly, I want to learn that skill, but on something much bigger and more grand, where it can truly stand out that I've learned and mastered it.

I like the look I have so far, and if I were doing this myself, it would be all KINDS of jacked up, and this build would not be progressing at all, so maybe this is better for now? tongue.gif

Thanks - T

I agree and that is why to get it running and make some progress I am going to just use the cables that came with the PSU's...

And for you that's not so bad, but with us? Those stock cables are disastrously long, and there's no way to fit any (much less all) of what's needed in the S3 chassis, so I did the next best thing!

Thanks - T

Hmmm, I was gonna say that your pump's blue wire is the pwm wire. But it should be connected with a green wire to a 4 pin fan connector, for the pwm, ya know ?

Like this PWM pump
