[Build Log] *NECRO!!! IT'S ALIVE!!!* Caselabs S3 Mercury << "The Unknown Soldier" >> - Page 46

One thing you might try is moving your fill port to the other side port on that rad... that way it's 'drop line' is the one that goes to the GPU rather than the res... that way (in theory) it would have to have back filled everything to get to where it is in the top rad. Also that way the top rad should fill more. biggrin.gif

Yep!

This is only temporary, however...
I have decided that I will be going to the new Acrylic as soon as I can (probably 2-3 months), but since this is installed and working, at least I don't have to rush!

Yeah, That occurs to us now, once that I have it filled to the brim where it is! wink.gif

Now I have to figure out what's wrong with that cathode set...

AND WE ARE OFFICIALLY ON HOLD FOR THE MOVE!!!

I packed up all the parts, tools, small boxes (into larger ones), and all the accouterments in nice, secure boxes last night. sad-smiley-002.gif

I don't know whither to drain the loop, honestly, even though it has to make a 14 hour drive in a U-Haul... My guess is yes?

This log will probably not move for on about 4 weeks at least, based on the timeline for my arrival in Orlando, my break-in, then my prompt departure for the S-FL plant to go train...
I won't even have a permanent residence for a while! rolleyes.gif

Well, wish me luck, and we can still use my log for parts and BEER talk!!! cheers.gif

Thanks - T

not but 1 thing better than beer or rum to talk about and I can't say it here!! biggrin.gif

Good luck with the move... and if it's anything like mine... we'll be seeing you in about 4.5 months! redface.gif

Hopefully, yours will be smoother... in many ways it actually helps that you're moving 15hours away... you actually have to plan everything out. I moved down the street... so it took forever, and now I wish it had taken even longer since if I'd waited I probably could have sold my other house for 30-40K more than I did! mad.gif

I'd probably drain it... but it should be good either way. The weight difference is negligible and it's not powered on. Just to a thorough leak test before you start it up again - in case something loosened during transit!

Good luck with the move Thrasher!

As for draining the loop, for a 14 hour trip, I would drain it.

Thanks all!

I don't have a drain port, so it basically involves me taking the first radiator > CPU outgoing fitting loose from the radiator's port and just hoping for the best! redface.gif
