See, my original plan was to put this on there, but that's what I'm going to put in my MH10 build (the green version anyway), so I can't justify spending $340 USD on reservoirs, on top of the fact that I accidentally ordered two Swiftech Micro Res V2s the other day, and now I have those to unload too... rolleyes.gif

I'm seeing a 3/5 review on it, and it says the top's not watertight for whatever reason, so I suppose that it's good I'm not turning it sideways!

Well, the original goal of this was to just use the ITX components that I had from the S3 build, just because they were all WELL beyond their returnable dates, and I'm not one to take a huge loss (by selling myself) on something that hasn't even had current run through it by me.

An alternate, albeit secondary function of this is that once I get down to the MH10 project, this will go to my step-daughter to be her computer.
That's why I'm building it with blue as the color scheme... she's a "blue" person!

As for putting stuff on the outside.... Meh... Dunno, but the warp core / turbo booster seems like a wicked idea, and there's a Lian Li case that makes me want it too, so I still have choices! wink.gif

If it is going in your daughters room I for sure would not put anything thing on the outside as she will break it and the computer for sure and then it will be your fault... lol Glad to see you kicking around...

Bit presumptuous unless you know how old she is, I'd say if she was old enough to know not to touch then it wouldn't be an issue about breaking it, more to the point of the aesthetics

maybe so or maybe not.. from my experience it dose not matter how old they are they seem to find a way to break things. especially girls... I may have come across a bit harsh and I will enjoy watching him build what ever he decides. so lets have some fun..

Yeah, I get your point about the "breaking stuff" part, but based on the room layout in the new place, it doesn't even need to be down low... I can mount it up where there's no problem, or - as I mentioned - migrate to the Lian Li case that's only about 2x the size that the SG05 is.

Either way, I can make it work! applaud.gif

MORE IMPORTANTLY, I GOT MORE BOURBON THIS WEEKEND!!!

My wife and I went down to Church St. in Orlando (bar / club scene) and were just barely there, and we found this hole in the wall place, not very big, very retro styling, and really kick-a$$ vibe, and the shelves were loaded with bourbons, scotches, and gins of all types! Of course they had other stuff, but man...
I had already had a Glenlivet 29-yr. AND a Buffalo Trace Rare at dinner, and My wife had a Macallan 18, so we were already well on the way, but then this bartender's boyfriend (management) chats me up about the bourbons, gets me onto Hirsch, E.H. Taylor, and Booker's...
Oh man, that was a wicked place... biggrin.gif
I tried the Booker's; he gave me a sample.
128.4 proof. wth.gif
Burnt like jet fuel and was SRSLY SO AMAZING OMG. drunken.gif

Then Saturday we went by Fedex and picked this up:

SO needless to say, I thought I was well-stocked.

(Disclaimer: that pic already included Booker's, so you'll have to mentally remove that from the picture until you read the rest!)

THEN!!!!
THEN!!!!

I go to the liquor store Sunday morning to get my wife cigarettes, and this place is in a small grocery shopping plaza not far from the new apartment, and this is a well-off golfing community area, and this guy in the store had ALL OF MY DREAM BOTTLES!!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! drool.gif

Like, there's no way to express nor even list all of the heavenly spirits he had!
And he had BOOKER'S ON THE SHELF. thumbsupsmiley.png
So I bought one! cheers.gif
WWWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! biggrin.gif

That was my weekend! thumb.gif
Oh, and installing bathroom fixtures and organizing house. rolleyes.gif

Thanks - T

I can see the replies now...

"OH MY GOD, HE ACTUALLY WORKED ON A COMPUTER THIS TIME!"

"Holy crap, he's going to beat Seross' build..."

"NECRO!"

But regardless, UPDATE!

So we already knew I was in this little SG05 Chassis, and if no one's seen one, it's really, um, SMALL. wth.gif

WITHOUT FURTHER ADEU, THE STORY SO FAR, IN PICTURES!!!

biggrin.gif

Ok, I'm sure you might not remember this from back at the beginning of the S3 build, but this is the motherboard that is going in this chassis.

Chassis stripped of it's un-needed parts, and the Black Ice Xtreme 120.1 radiator, and my new Silverstone AP w/ blue blades! Sexy!

Rad and fan together; That's a beefy combo, but trust me, I made it worse! wink.gif

Two views of that combo installed...

Hey LOOK! I'm case modding for real this time! You'll see why in a sec.

And a closeup. I'm sure it's totally apparent why, but nevertheless...

I ALSO installed some fat 'ol feet too! That was a royal pain...

Because the locking nut inside left too much of the bolt sticking through, and there's one corner where it has to fit under the motherboard...

THERE'S THE REASON!
Sorry it's so blurry, we haven't moved in quite yet, and I have no proper lighting or anything... rolleyes.gif

With the Silverstone fan filter (faceplate for me) installed!

And the color-matching blue aluminum pan head screws I used.
Those things lose their threads easily, FYI... mad.gif

So that's it for today!
Maybe some more work tonight, but I doubt I will get anywhere before we get fully settled. thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

cheers.gif
Thanks - T
