Looking for good secondary mouse.

I've been looking around at other mice lately for back ups and for all I've looked I can't seem to find any good optical mice that seem nice then I came across the CM storm Recon and while I haven't gotten a chance to try one out it looks like my kind of mouse but haven't seen anything about on here which makes me hesitate to grab it before hearing any feedback.

And for the other mice I've looked at the Roccat line up but have heard they've build quality wasn't the best and some of their mice are hit or miss. As for Logitech mice I've just never liked the shape (cause I know someones going to suggest one).

I can not vouch for all of Roccat but the Savu has great build quality. The coating at the thumb rest might wear of after some use, but that has not been the case for me yet. And that is only an aesthetic issue and doesn't affect performance.

Roccat Savu is a Hit. Solid mouse with quality (as it seems to me) material and build, and its feature set is awesome. Of course it comes with the Avago 3090 sensor...

Have you looked at DeathAdder (similar shape to G400 though), Abyssus (may have problem on some mousepads), Tt esports Saphira, and Kinzu v2 (weaker sensor but does not matter to some)?

Oh, and the Zowie's of course.

Most new mice that release use the laser sensors. There are still some decent optical mice you can get.

The Deathadder is probably the most popular. Other options include

Cooler master Storm Spawn
Cooler master Storm Recon
Zowie AM / FK / EC1&EC2
Logitech G400
Razer abyssus
Roccat Savu

And of course those Microsoft mice (IME etc)

Alright I've looked at some reviews as well as your replies and I think I'll just grab a Recon for now and then grab a Zowie later as those look nice as well. I had thought they were too small for my hands until I saw one side by side some other mice.
