Not a bad option either.

When running a lot of clients RAM is probably the most beneficial thing. Also AMD FX-8350 might be a good choice since its a 8-Core CPU appose to running clients in Virtual HT cores.

Already bought the mobo for the 3930k so I am calling it set in stone for now. tongue.gif Although did consider the Vishera there for a little bit purely on a $$ standpoint honestly. 8 cores for the 200 or so odd bucks seems pretty dang good.

As far as ram goes with an asus rampage iv extreme and the 3930k think http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231500 will be good?

I dunno what the difference would be with a little slower ram or what not when it comes to multiboxing. but must sleep!! exhaisted.

Good timings, and nice speed. Should be more than viable.

Haha will do. I will see if I can get some pictures tonight got the motherboard and case in hand now. Just ordered the 3930k for 490 new and shipped from newegg with that visa.me deal. So pretty happy with that!

Slowly coming together here.

Might throw up some pictures of the new desk I am building as well. tongue.gif

So I had to set aside this project for a few months due to some RL issues but I am hoping I can finally finish it as I have had my case, cpu, and motherboard just sitting in a corner doing nothing.

I feel like I have the RAM and PSU figured out.

RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231569

Figure its got CAS9 so thats good although have thought about doing the 1866 instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231626

Just don't know if it is worth the extra 50 bucks.

PSU I am either going to do the corsair AX860 or the Seasonic 860, kind of leaning towards the Seasonic but honestly I think they are the exact same CPU... just rebranded so I might end up doing the Corsair as it is a little cheaper.

Then I come to the graphics card which I am struggling with. The 780 came out and I am VERY tempted to get it .I have the money on hand for it and it seems like it is a GPU that will last me a few years and I can probably end up picking up another one in 8-12 months and run it in SLI. But for the meantime I would be running it as a solo GPU. Other possibilities were for the 7970 6GB or dual 7950s in CF. Although someone told me that I can't run EVE in windowed mode and have Crossfire still working which is an issue. Hence leading me to the 780 again. Haha kind of wanting someone to talk me down from the 650 dollar GPU.

Then cooling comes into play. I have though about doing the Noctua DH14 as a temporary thing just so I can have something in there for now and have a system running. Then maybe move to a custom loop for the CPU and GPU.

Storage I honestly haven't looked at but will most likely end up what is just a good deal at the time and get a 256gb SSD or maybe 512gb if there is a deal. And a 2TB or so HDD.

Help is appreciated. Sorry it took so long for a reply guys. rolleyes.gif

Get the 780! It's only a little slower than titan but much cheaper.
Cas latencies dont have any effect on games so just go with whats cheaper.
Otherwise, sounds good! thumb.gif
