Problem With Hibernate/Fast Boot On windows 8.

Hello. As the title says, I'm having trouble getting my PC to resume from hibernate and shut down (with fast boot enabled). What happens is when I shut down (with fast boot) , everything works, and my PC powers off just fine, but when I hit the power button to start up again, and just before I get to the windows logo, my PC just cuts out (like if I unplugged it) and then restarts and boots normally (I assume it has deleted the page file and is not "fast booting". When I get into windows, it shows a banner across the screen saying en error has occurred and can it send my mini-dump to Microsoft. The same thing happens with hibernate, except I get to see the windows logo (without the spinning dots) before it cuts off. I have googled the life out of the issue, and the only solution I found was to disable Internal pll overvoltage, as this was a documented issue. I did that, but it doesn't seem to have worked. Here is my config :
  • Motherboard : Asus P8P67 deluxe
  • CPU : Intel core i7 2600k Turbo mode to 4.3 GHz
  • Primary hard drive : Corsair 120GB SSD
  • Secondary SSD : 1TB Hard drive
  • Ram : 8GB 1300 Mhz overclocked to 1600 Mhz
  • Msi Twin Frozr II GTX 570

I assume the issues with hibernate and fast boot are related, as fast boot creates a sort of hibernate file. Is there any way I can get Fast boot working correctly?

I have resolved the issue. As it turns out, the problem was with my SSD. It's a corsair F120, and this is another documented issue. In order to fix it, I updated my firmware to the latest version. (Which can be found here.)
