Hi all

Does that really help much on evo .?

I was under the impression second fan didn't do much to help cool . I find also raising speed didn't cool much more , I run mine around 3/4 max spped at max load .

here few pics of mine just did .

Sorry for dusty system, I actually just did quick cleaning, dust was really bad here as doing repair work from Sandy .

wrong impression amigo... adding the second fan in a push/pull configuration can drop your temps down 7C just on idle and paste.
7C being exceptional and an average of more like 4C is more common.

< case < fan << fan < CPU cooler < fan

in our pic the fan is to the right so I hope it's blowing through CPU cooler out the left side.
now add a fan to the left side pulling the air from the right side with the fan..

edit:
and I might add that your mobo (Z77-V Pro) should or might have dual CPU fan headers...
if not then you can either connect the second fan to a standard fan header or get a PWM splitter..

my condolences if still dealing with H Sandy.. smile.gif

yes, its setup right , blowing through HS and out to exhaust fan on back .

Yes there 2 CPU fan headers for 2 PWM fans .

As it is now it hits about 60-61c in prime95 , that at mild 4.0GHZ .

I notice the CM 212's are little light on spring pressure on HS, anyone try shimming to give a little more pressure and did it help temps any ?

I notice and others have commented that HS can easy move around .

I spoke of this problem, in this thread, in this post :

someone else with the P8Z77-I DELUXE (perhaps with factory bios 0607) has noticed this?

I begin to think that it is a problem for all P8Z77-I DELUXE with factory bios 0607
