7850 2GB, I believe, also uses less power overall. Go with the 7850.

Unless you can grab a 6950 2GB for $150, then go with the cheaper model.

Don't pay over 170, ever, for a used 6950. It's not worth it.
Well, what price were you expecting? a 6950 is just as powerful or less vs the 7850 so it's not gonna be priced all that much lower.

On eBay 6950's are selling around £160
On ebuyer the oc'd 7850 is £165 new!
I just wanted to check there wasn't some secret bonus to the 6950 like Apple TV gen 2vs3

Just buy the oc'd 7850. You get a new card, full warranty, and a little boost in performance.

whats your budget. the HD 7870 Tahiti LE is a very good option at £175 - £200 . Sapphire HD 7870 XT with boost, Powercolor PCS+ MYST HD 7870, Club3d HD 7870 XT joker, VTX3D HD 7870 Black edition are the Tahiti LE cards. of these powercolor, clud3d and VTX3D cards are manufactured by TUL corporation. slightly cheaper than sapphire. but the sapphire has a much better cooler.

around 30 - 35% faster than HD 7850. performs on par with HD 7950(800 Mhz). overclocks to 1.2 ghz and matches HD 7970(925 mhz)
