That makes me sad frown.gif The different city types where in 4 as normal. I flat out refuse to pay for something that was already part of the previous game. The gaming industry and certain companies really are trying to take people for idiots. Each to their own, but I want the days of expansions being worth the price. I'm for DLC, but it has to be worth the price and not just a bunch of skins and rehashed maps as someone has already ranted about in this thread.

I'm not buying this. Back when SC4 was new, it ran like crap on my eMachines PC. And you know what? I still loved it. I just have no interest in playing Sim Town. What I also liked about SC4 was your ability to build right up the edge of the maps, so from the region view everything looked continuous. Not in SC5.

They're both different imo.

SC4s graphical style was based on a rough/inaccurate 2.5 dimensional representation of what was going on in terms of raw statistics.

In SC2013, the graphical style is built to compliment the old Sierra city builders (Pharaoh/Zeus/Caesar) type of gameplay where you actually watch individual "agents" actually going about and having a direct impact on whatever part of the city they interact with.


For instance, in SC4, you simply created a garbage dump and garbage trucks magically collected garbage.

In SC2013, you literally see garbage trucks collecting garbage. If a house/business/factory doesn't get visited by an actual garbage truck that exists in the world, the trash stays there. If you have traffic issues, garbage collection efficiency suffers.

If you have a garbage deal with a neighbouring city, your trucks actually go there (or their trucks travel to your city).
