RMA'ing Gigabyte UD3H from canada, what should i know

Thread Starter
I've read alot on gigabytes down right awful RMA policies and blaming customers for damages that they cause. What should I do to prepare for this? Any advice or tips? I have never RMAd a Motherboard before, what is the common procedure, what should I expect?

My problem is regarding the UD3H, I get corrupted bios, it fixes the bios then freezes in windows.

Be sure to ship it with the CPU socket cover that was originally shipped with the board, put it in an anti-static bag, and read the RMA policy. I would assume you just send the board back, no additional accessories. Take pictures of the board from multiple angles before sending it out so you have proof it was not damaged before sending it. And take pictures of how you're packaging it in the box. Since you're in Canada, I'm guessing you're shipping it to the US for repair, or does Gigabyte have a center in Canada? If you're sending it to the US, I would expect 2 - 3 weeks downtime before receiving the board back.
