Advice needed for water loop shape - Page 3

Also if using #2 i'd turn the top rad and have fittings at the front of the case and not have the GPU in the way
I'd like to see a clean loop shape, which for me is a kind of "circle" without any crosses. I will do serious fitting as soon as I have tube (later this week).
thanks again.

Loop order in version 2 has been implemented biggrin.gif
Thanks again for help and advice. I hope having a tube in front of GPU will not bring bad karma wink.gif

Same idea with mine as well

Loop order V2 is fine, When you add a GPU block just cut the front tube and connect to it thumb.gif

The order of components in a loop makes almost no difference at all if you have a reasonable flow rate.

This is a chart of three water temp sensors at different points in a water loop from idle moving to full load. The differences are tiny.

The airflow of your system can make a far bigger difference. With hot air being fed from one rad to another the whole air to water delta of the loop is raised, and all components will be hotter no matter where they are in the loop. Water temps can be several whole degrees higher all over, not just in specific sections of a loop.

That is a very informative chart thumb.gif Really convincing thumb.gif

Good to know, thank you.
With 2 rads for my overclocked CPU (+1Ghz) I have core temps in windows a few degrees above air ambient thumb.gif When running IBT max I'm below 50 degrees. Overkill is such a beautiful thing sometimes biggrin.gif

Yes, that's my plan, with my next GPU. wink.gif
I just could not force myself to replace beautiful metal stuff (pipes, backplate) on my Asus with an ugly EK block (the only full cover block for this card as far as I know). No offence intended for EK owners - it's just my personal view on the aesthetics, nothing to do with quality.

I have experimented a bit with the whole "don't have a rad as intake and another as an exhaust" thing, but with the bottom as intake, top as exhaust, and the rear case fan as intake, I get identical Delta-T to both rads as intake.

I saw a marked difference in a mid tower with a thin 240 front rad and xt45 360 top rad.

My air/water delta while gaming lowered from 12 to 7.5
