HELPP!!!

Thread Starter
Hi guys,
I've been researching a lot lately and have been looking at A LOT of forums.

I'm sure I'll either go with the 670 OR the 680 for gaming on a 2560x1440 monitor.

My choices for 670:

MSI GTX670 Power Edition 2GB OC.

My choices for 680:

MSI GTX680 Lightning 2GB

or the

ASUS GTX680 DirectCu II TOP 2GB.

I want to know if the extra money for the 680 is actually worth it.

Thank you for all the help!

Generally it's not.. Just like the 7950 is way better value then a 7970, but if you want the best get a GTX680. The performance difference between the two AMD cards is bigger then the performance between the two nVidia cards.
For example.. A 4GB 670 is better value then a regular 2GB 680, sure it won't clock as high but you have double the vRAM!

For most games the difference between the two isn't going to be massively noticable either, if you're a hardware freak/benchmarker go for the 680 smile.gif

If you're both or just trying to save a bit of cash get the 670 and maybe a better CPU or more RAM or most of an SSD if you don't have one already or even put the money away for a new card next gen or even another 670 sooner rather then later.

For reference refering to this post the linked 670 and some other 670's have the same PCB as the 680. Not ALL of them smile.gif
