No way!
Will build a high budget computer in late august/september, you think there will be black mobos by then? tongue.gif

There should be a few flat black mobos from MSI this year for Haswell.. I dont deal with other manufacturers.. so cant tell what they have planned.

Just get the 3930K and be happy with the performance(as Haswell quad can't beat SB-E Hex in mutli thread anyway), worse case scenario Ivy-E have a LGA2011 compatible Octa core unit you sell the 3930K and get that.

Why would i waste my time complaining to a rep? Board was bought, blew with memory overclocking over 2400 even with newest bios, returned same day for a Maximus that has no issues whatsoever and is light years ahead of msi in the bios department.

You want a board with a horrible bios you buy msi. They need to take some lessons from ASRock and Asus

Exactly...   haswell offers nothing substantial.

Sorry for your experience. Hardly the fault of the BIOS though I would say.. there are boat loads of users here running +2666 on the same platform. Plenty of sour user testimonials can be chalked up to hardware other than the mobo.. such as your case. Your passing 'final' judgement on a product you purchased and replaced.. when a 60$ RAM kit would have solved the issue you encountered.. seems you took a rather extreme approach [or an ignorant one] in jumping to conclusions.

*very similar to the threads I see blaming kingpin for 'leaky' pots..

Just love how folks blame their own shortcomings on their hardware. Its not the mobo's fault that you are not good tuning it!

Good luck with your Asus though! That board is very friendly to clock too.

That's just what Z87 Mobo have over Z77 Mobo, as your original quote was asking about what Haswell have over Z77 Mobo.

Thus I skipped Haswell have new transistor design, 2X Cache Bandwidth,Decoupled L3 Cache, AVX2, IPC boost (5-15% according to Anand), TSX, integrated VRM, better IGPU, and potentially soldering instead of TIM.

Ofc you will go on and Claim all those above as nothing substantial, thus by you logic nothing since Nehalem offer nothing substantial.
