Overclocking Phenom II x4 955 BE - Page 2

First things first
CPU/NB voltage. 1.4v Max (AMD suggests 1.5v, but there is no way on earth you will see any advantage past 1.4 on air cooling)
VCore voltage. 1.5v Max
NB voltage. 1.2v Max.
Max temps. 62*C is the end of the line for your chip. Try keeping it at 50-55*C Max.

I have to disagree, 1.45 is perfectly legitimate on air, and you can take the CPU-NB as high as 1.4 safely. I personally have only ever had to go up to 1.3 on the CPU-NB, but everyone's mileage may vary.
No argue about that, hehe. But I don't say something different... 1.45 is absolutely acceptable, but after 1.4v CPU/NB, you will see no real gain. YES,it may help with stability, but it will give a hotter IMC,leaving less headroom for CPU OC. As you see,no disagreement here. Cheers.

I didn't say that it is bad to go at 1.55v! I didn't say that it will damage anything! BUT YOU will NOT see any REAL difference!

There is a stability difference between 1.4V and 1.5V.
If that's what you mean, I don't understand what you mean by "difference."

I think they are saying, you will not see any performance difference no real gain from it.

Don't worry about it, they were just trying to give you parameters to stay within when overclocking. You should already be set though with information. Although if you need to know anything else, just ask.

Well of course you don't gain performance by increasing voltage. Did he mean to say that the differences between 4.0 and above are minor? I already said that earlier, so we're saying the same thing if that's the case.
