my current set up is:
CPU - AMD FX6300
GPU - Sapphire Radeon HD 7870xt with boost taheti LE
Motherboard - ASUS M5A97 R2.0
RAM - G. Skill RipJaws X 8gb 1866 (2x4gb)
PSU - Rosewill Capstone 650 watt 80+ gold modular
HDD - seagate barricuda 1TB 64mb 7200rpm
So far the only games i have played are Skyrim, minecraft, and star wars the old republic. but iv only noticed in on skyrim.
im sure i have plenty of power for my set up and im fairly sure all my cables are nice and snug. but when i installed the graphics card i didnt use the pci cables that were on the psu. the card came with 2 that had molex connectors so i used a molex connector from my psu and plugged the pci-e cables into it, then into my GPU. should that matter??
i didnt use the cables that came with the psu because the one cable had a 6pin power plug for the GPU and a 6pin plug that said SLI that were both coming out of the same cable so i didnt know if i was supposed to plug both of those into the GPU. should i have?
