Help me a choose an ultrabook

1) What is your budget?
$600 or less

2) What size notebook would you prefer?
Thin and Light; 13" - 14" screen

3) Where will you buying this notebook?
USA

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
Not really. I really like ASUS laptop designs and I usually try to avoid dell and such.

5) Would you consider laptops that are refurbished/redistributed?
I would like a new one.

6) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
Office, Internet, Movies

7) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places, leaving it on your desk or both?
I'm a college student with a desktop at home, so I'll be taking my laptop everywhere with me to class, the library, around the house, etc. I'm looking for something light, but would still like decent computing power; hence, an ultrabook.

8) Will you be playing games on your notebook? If so, please state which games or types of games?
No. But i do have a question: will a HD4000 be able to run minecraft?

9) How many hours of battery life do you need?
4 for absolute minimum, 6+ preferred

10) Would you prefer to see the notebooks you're considering before purchasing it or buying a notebook on-line without seeing it is OK?
Online is okay.

11) What OS do you prefer? Windows (XP or Vista or Windows 7), Mac OS, Linux, etc.
Windows

12) From the choices below, what screen resolution(s) would you prefer?
Highest possible within my budget, but I doubt I can get anything high. Which is fine.

13) Do you want a Glossy/reflective screen or a Matte/non-glossy screen?
No preference.

14) Are the notebook's looks and stylishness important to you?
Yes, definitely. I absolutely love full aluminum constructed laptops. For example: I love the asus zenbook.

15) When are you buying this laptop?
Within the next month.

16) How long do you want this laptop to last?
As long as possible?

17) How much hard drive space do you need? Do you want a SSD drive?
Doesn't really matter since this won't be my main source of a PC.

18) Do you need an optical drive? If yes, a DVD Burner, Blu-ray Reader or Blu-Ray Burner?
Doesn't matter. I guess not having one would reduce the bulk which would be better.

Some side notes:
- I really would like a backlit keyboard.
- again, styling is very important to me. I love full aluminum construction.
- i5 is a must.
- usb 3.0 is a plus

My money is the Samsungs or the Macbooks (obviously used for that price), just FYI ASUS is on a lot of peoples not buy list due to refusing to honor warranties and/or false services.

Sorry, the Samsung fits all of those (criteria), and from personal experience, yes the HD4000 is capable of running Minecraft with a 128 texture pack and mods.

Oh i wasn't set on an ASUS; I was just stating that I really love their designs.

And I'll look into some samsungs, though, I haven't really heard great things about their products.

And I wish I could afford a mac. That would be my first option if it was in my price range.

Thanks for the advice, though!
