[Loop Needed] GTX 580 Hydro Copper 2

Thread Starter

I just want to cool a single EVGA GTX 580 3GB FTW Hydro Copper 2 (it already has a swiftech copper waterblock installed).
I want a bay res/pump/rad combo similar to this: Link

I already have a DDC 3.2 that I have not tested yet, and considered the top/res from XSPC: Link

and I have some radiators (a 120MM Danger Den X-Flow Extreme and a Swiftech MCR220-QP K) that I do not wish to use on my case anymore. I found out the Swiftech does not even fit my case because I only have a 2x 140mm at the top of my Zalman Z11 Plus and a 140MM Fan on the rear.

Can anyone recommend a purchase for me for a 2x140mm rad/pump/res combo or should I just buy the stuff seperately?
I'd like to utilize my DDC3.2 and save some money if I can, but am open to suggestions.

Can anyone help me here?

I'm looking to purchase a new radiator, or if at all possible use the 2x120mm radiator that I have (MCR220-QP K) on my Zalman Z11 Case (up top).
I only realized after trying to install it that it will not fit my case without having to modify the case in some way. I'd like to avoid that, would it be okay to use double-sided velcro? Should I just invest in the 2x140mm radiator instead? Please provide me with some experienced input. I would really appreciate it!

Okay so I ended up buying a new reservoir and radiator.
The radiator I got was a Swiftech MCR240-QP (2x140mm). Weird because usually when I see *240* in a radiator name I think of 2x120, but thats not how they name their models at swiftech apparently lol.

I also got a XSPC Dual 5.25" Bay Reservoir for a single Laing DDC. I thought this was a good buy because it acts as an aftermarket top for my DDC3.2 and gives me a good size Bay Res (I like the idea of bay reservoirs a lot). (Included because of my posts here: http://www.koolertek.com/computer-parts/pc/XSPC-Dual-5-25-Bay-Reservoir-for-Laing-DDC-Fits-Swiftech-350-355-225p2240.htm )

So now, my Loop looks something like this:

Reservoir: XSPC Dual 5.25" Bay Reservoir for a single Laing DDC
Radiator: Swiftech MCR240-QP (2x140mm)
Pump: Laing DDC3.2
GPU Block: Swiftech Hydro Copper 2 (for my GTX 580 3GB FTW)

Loop Order: Res -> Pump -> Radiator -> GPU Block -> Res

I still need 2 140mm fans for the radiator. Recommendations? Needs to be something from Micro Center.
Also, I have a cheap LGA 775 cpu block from OCZ (HydroFlow - HF-MK1)
Should I use this block? (OCZ Site Link)
I'm happy with the temps I'm getting from my Cooler Master Hyper 212+ on my 3570k (LGA 1155) and I'm not sure the block will fit my cpu or if it will with the 212's mounting bracket, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that it would... It would be nice to reduce the space in my case as well, but not required if it all fits fine.

Any input welcome!
