Just go with the GTX 670, save your money, you've earned it.

Look here, feel free to browse through the different benchmarks:

HOOOOLY CRAP! Ok, so, really, they're as close as 0.5% - 1% in performance. Definitely grab a GTX 670!! thumb.gif

Thread Starter
Ok so i think i am set on a 670, I really only need it to last 8-12 months, i figured the generation of GPU that will be released after the next-gen consoles will pretty much obliterate anything out now (like from nvidia 7000 series to 8000).

But, I found out that EVGA isnt doing lifetime warrenties on many of their products anymore, all their 680 and 670s model numbers end with KR, which is only 3 years.

http://www.evga.com/support/warranty/

I guess my options are not restricted to EVGA anymore. I will consider Gigabyte, ASUS (maybe not, I don't want a 3 slot cooler : /), and of course MSI.

EVGA FTW Signature 2 (uses 680 pcb)
Gigabyte Windforce OC (uses 680 pcb)
MSI Power Edition (custom 670 pcb)
ASUS Direct CU II (custom 670 pcb & it's a double-slot gpu)
Zotac AMP! (uses 680 pcb)
Galaxy Dual-Fan OC (custom 670 pcb)

Those are the 670's you should choose from. This bunch are roughly 2% slower than a reference 680 (@ stock speed) out the box (except for the Zotac Amp; it's 3% faster than a 680 out the box but very limited regarding OC capabilities) thumb.gif

A GTX 670 should be a little slower than your old set up. If that's okay with you, go for it. If not, get a 680 or wait for the 7 series. For $45 more than a GTX 670, you can get 2x EVGA gtx 660. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130825 it'll be pretty comparable to your old set up, but you'll get more VRAM and less heat/power consumption.
