Revival Of A Dead Computer
Hello I'm a bit n00b when it comes to computer mode and this one is going to be my second one, I ain't going to do nothing major only re-use and old case for a HTPC setup. This is a case that was given to me it had a dead PSU that almost killed the system but a bit of hard work and blood made it run again like nothing happened. You can see the dirt of the PSU in some of the pictures and on the old heat sink.
On all this thread I'm going to write a bit next to each picture and would love to get some feed back.
Here can you see how the case looks like and you can see on the backplate the motherboard that i saved
Here can you see more pictures of the case and the cover and a nice dirty filter hehehe.
Here can you see the dirt that the psu made. Really happy that the motherboard did not die when this happend and nothing else, had this and many kinds of test to see how stable it is. You can see the heat zink i was going to clean it but i gave up couse i could not get the fan blade of the fan to clean it
Here can you se how i got the rig setup for all the test (finally over hehehe) threw on it some stock AMD fan that is really silent, You can also see the random PSU, the damm case is Micro-ATX
Here is the power button on the surgery table
