Thread Starter
ok so i have a g6-1d18dx and for a long time i overclocked my amd a4-3300m just fine. when i found out i could upgrade to the a8-3500m i was all about it. in fact i was so excited that i forgot to turn off AMD Overdrive and left it set to overclock to 2.8 ghz. anyway, when i went to turn on the laptop after the install i got a black screen. black screen with external too, and black screen with old apu as well. pretty sure the motherboard is fried. now i just have one question, if i replace the mobo, are those settings still going to be active? i mean, are they stored in the bios or on the hard drive? thanks.

You'll lose those settings, they're stored in the BIOS. Any chance maybe you took a screenshot once upon a time to show off your clocks to anyone? biggrin.gif
