I recently bought a new monitor for my Xbox 360 (an Acer G236HQLBbd) and I tried hooking it up to my Xbox 360 via an HDMI cable plugged into an HDMI to DVI converter that plugs into the back of the monitor. Unfortunately I get no signal, would purchasing a cable help this?

I don't believe it would but I have no idea what else the problem could be. The cable and monitor are HDCP compliant, if the adapter isn't HDCP compliant would that have any affect?

It is an Xbox 360 slim edition by the way.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
