Actually. looking at my pic again, I see two xD

I didn't use the knife in the pic btw.

I'm the guy who can't run dual channel tongue.gif

I'm not sure if that small chip has caused it or if it's a bent pin like yours maybe :l It runs fine otherwise, been stable since I delidded around June last year running 4.4ghz, I was going to buy a cheap open box P67 board for like £30 to test it but I kind of forgot now all the cheap boards are gone frown.gif I'll get round to it eventually..

I can almost guarantee those nicks didn't cause the loss of dual channel. I'm almost certain it's from the bent pins.

Yeah I'm 90% sure it's a bent pin too, but there was another guy who had the same issues as me after delidding, so I have always been back and forth on what it actually is D: I really should get a new board to test it.. I'm just to cheap/lazy to fork out for a new one when the lack of dual channel isn't really effecting performance tongue.gif I'm gonna pretend there is nothing wrong until I come across a good deal on a board redface.gif

Lol is amazing how bad your current hardware is when a good deal comes around. In June when Haswell is comes out my 3770 at 5.1 is going to be so sloooow..... In my mind at least.

lol yeah, that's partly why I haven't shelled out for a new one yet, maybe I will pick up a cheap board in the FS section here when people start moving to Haswell tongue.gif I'm happy with the performance of my 3570K though so I'll probably be sticking with it for some time, haswell hasn't even been on my mind redface.gif I need a new SSD and some other stuff first of all...

Newegg has gone downhill when it comes to shipping. I miss the days when shipping was free on like everything. Now I just had to pay $23 on my last order to have standard, 3 day shipping from UPS and not that egg saver trash.

Yea I hear ya man. Sucks.

Anyways, the MOBO was delivered so the moment of truth will be around 9pm EST.

Stay tuned to fiind out! I'm so torn whether I want it to work or not. I would love another chance to get a golden chip, but at the same time I really want to play Crysis. I guess we will see soon enough!

Buy a $200 netbook and play it. You might be able to get 2 FPS if you turn the settings down.
