How long should I run the test for? And I'm assuming I should OC the memory? Never done that before so I'm afraid to touch it >< I set my XMP profile now though so now I'm doing a Prime test with 90% memory

Also, is it normal for some cores to fall behind others? Some of them are on test 4, but I notice one that is still on test 2.

Don't OC your memory until you have your CPU at the overclock you want. Just leave it at stock for the moment. For a short test run Prime95 for about 30 minutes, once you find an overclock you're happy with/max overclock then you will want to test for at least 10 hours to ensure 100% stability.

Yeah, that's what I did last night. I'm stable at 4.4 now, but I will be trying for 4.5-4.6 tonight.

I think it depends on people.

I prefer setting my XMP profile right away (2133mhz 9-11-10-27 at 1.5v) and doing a dirty OC up to 4.6 GHZ, then adjust all voltage. But It's not my first and I know all BIOS settings by heart, read the RIVE guides so many times.

jcgamer, what is your memory kit?

I'm currently using 4 of these:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231314

They haven't given me any issues yet. I ran a Memtest this morning because the guy I'm speaking to at EVGA is having me troubleshoot everything before we decide to RMA the card and I had no errors come up when it was finished.

Also, I'm noticing that my CPU, at idle, is at around 1.6 @ x16. Is it normal for it to do that when idle? I'm assuming so since it saves it some stress, but the voltage stays the same, probably because I don't have LLC on for the vdroop.

Yes it is normal since you have Enhanced Intel Speedstep technology (EIST).

-Enable EIST for the CPU to downclock on idle state. (It reduces the multiplier, hence why you have x16 CPU ratio)

-If you want the voltage to downvolt on idle state, you need to enable C1E...leaving it at auto will prevent this.

In this windows, Enable C1E instead of Auto

Got it enabled now, thanks! thumb.gif

So I came across another issue that I made another thread about which maybe you can can help. Trying to get all the help I can get right now .

http://www.overclock.net/t/1367997/graphic-card-issue

My screen has been constantly doing that while I drag windows around. I'm also getting tearing in games. This wasn't happening on my AMD setup so I'm thinking it's the board. I tried all 3 slots and even swapped in another card and it's still doing the same thing. I'm going to try a different card (a friends) on Friday to see if it's actually the board.

Have you ever ran into this issue on your board?

Got another question if you don't mind.

I'll be returning my current board for a new one on Saturday. Sadly they don't have the Sabertooth in stock so I'll most likely be going with the UD3H (they don't have the UD5H either). Now, would I be able to use the same settings I'm using now on my board that got me my 4.4 on the other board or am I going to be doing testing all over again? I don't mind either way, but I'm just seeing if I can save a step.
