Help with ocing 2600k?

Hello OCN, I'm having issues overclocking my i7 2600k had it overclocked about 6+ months ago but set to default due to random bsod and lockups every so often about 14 days at a time. When I primed my pc for 48 hours it was fine running blend, 4.5ghz @ 1.350v, I currently have just started to overclock this chip again after 6 months on default without a problem. Today I found that my cpu would go to 4.5ghz , but 4.6 need pll overvolt enabled to boot into windows. Had a few issues at 4.6ghz with vcore and now has been running stable for 4.5hrs @ 1.410v.

My settings atm everything else is default.
Turbo ratio 45
Memory freq underclocked from 1600Mhz to 1333Mhz with auto timings to see what my chip can do.
Vcore 1.410
Vid 1.3911
Cores (100%) 57 63 68 61
LLC 75% since this gave me a total of 0.008vdroop
Duty Ctrl + Phase mode set at Extreme
Vrm freq 350 Manual.
Cpu overvoltage 140%

Have followed multiple guide and never got any better so gave up would like some info on whatelse could help me if this fails.

If you were having random bsods/ lockups with previous OC, its 99% sure the CPU OC was not stable,

My 2500k also needs PLL Overvolt after 4.5ghz to boot up, nothing wrong with that.

But what is the actual qeustion? You got it stable now on 4.6ghz? Just keep going up with the multipier, or try to lower the vcore a bit thumb.gif

Came back to my computer to find it had bsod, after prime blend @ 6.5hrs, vcore is running 1.410 I just think I got a bad chip tbh needs high voltage to get stable. I looked at the cpu non turbo vs oc and there was like maybe 4-5 min, 13--15 avg and max was about 40-60fps seriously I thought sandy bridge was spose to be easy to oc its more like a pita to me.

Cant wait for next gen chips, they have the 2011 hex core at 4.0ghz turbo (intel boost 2.0) who knows what they will bring hopefully 4.2-4.5ghz boost clock in the future with haswell.

If it's BSOD what error codes is it giving you? Certain BSOD error codes pertain to different solutions to stabilize the overclock.
