I'm well aware thank you. I knew that way before that was proven.

Logic, common sense, and Lucy Bradshaw's statements helped me come to that conclusion a while ago. smile.gif

My statement you quoted was sarcastic. wink.gif

Sarcasm doesn't translate well, I'm afraid. :/

I really wanted to play this game for so long. But with all these things going on, I will not buy this game, maybe not even if they patch this game. I will not support bad policies from publishers.

It's relevant because people are making it seem like it's EA's fault and no other company would have this problem... That's the way servers work people. If your buying a really popular game that is going to be online only you should already expect it to be hammered and unplayable with problems.. If it's really that big of a deal BUY THE GAME A WEEK or so later... When I bought Diablo 3 I got it right on release day, I got dropped from many games and couldn't play for a long time. I didn't buy Diablo 3, come home it not work then me bash Blizzard(like everyone did with Simcity) I KNEW it was more then likely going to happen as it does with ever super popular online game.

But the problem here is that this game could easily be done single player. There is no reason for it not to have a single player option, other than because of DRM, and that is the company's fault

You don't get to pick where your city is located on the map any further than simply picking a preset space for it. The box you see in the pic is the size of ALL cities in ALL regions. You cannot move them, adjust size, change the terrain...

Sure there is. They just didn't want to put in single player, as they felt there was little reason to have single player. Kinda common sense. I can nearly ascertain that every gamer in the world with a PC powerful enough to play SC2013 has an Internet connection. It's pretty clear as the ones that complain about it requiring an Internet connection are... well... online complaining about it. lachen.gif It's not for you to decide what EA will put in their game. It's fine if you don't like it. Don't play the game and miss out on it. thumb.gif DRM has nothing to do with the game being always online. DRM is checked via your Origin login. A game could be entirely single player and you'd still have to login to Origin to verify its DRM.

I think even if they had done a single player region they would of still ran into problems, simply because ppl would of wanted to test out the multiplayer part with friends, and then they would be on here complaining anyway even though they could play it solo, I'm afraid that's how ppl are

That's an excuse, not a real reason.
And you're on a forum, if you didn't want to hear people's opinions then why are you here? Plus, sure, we can vote with our wallets..but how would EA know what was the reason if not for complaining?

The whole "Everyone has internet!" argument is flawed either, as you're completely forgetting that there's another end that needs to be kept up..EAs..And not everyone has permanent internet, either, or internet that they could stay on all day.
And the always-online is virtually only DRM, the multiplayer features are barely above what would be considered normal co-op in most games, the calculations are ridiculously basic as are the "cloud" saves...What other reason for it other than for EA to be able to manage their rights to turn off the servers in order to try and force you to buy the new game in the series' a few years in the future?

And you've mentioned that you love it...Nice to know you enjoy taking the shaft, but it's not for everyone.
