single player. Kinda common sense. I can nearly ascertain that every gamer in the world with a PC powerful enough to play SC2013 has an Internet connection. It's pretty clear as the ones that complain about it requiring an Internet connection are... well... online complaining about it.
It's not for you to decide what EA will put in their game. It's fine if you don't like it. Don't play the game and miss out on it.
DRM has nothing to do with the game being always online. DRM is checked via your Origin login. A game could be entirely single player and you'd still have to login to Origin to verify its DRM.
That's an excuse, not a real reason.
And you're on a forum, if you didn't want to hear people's opinions then why are you here? Plus, sure, we can vote with our wallets..but how would EA know what was the reason if not for complaining?
The whole "Everyone has internet!" argument is flawed either, as you're completely forgetting that there's another end that needs to be kept up..EAs..And not everyone has permanent internet, either, or internet that they could stay on all day.
And the always-online is virtually only DRM, the multiplayer features are barely above what would be considered normal co-op in most games, the calculations are ridiculously basic as are the "cloud" saves...What other reason for it other than for EA to be able to manage their rights to turn off the servers in order to try and force you to buy the new game in the series' a few years in the future?
And you've mentioned that you love it...Nice to know you enjoy taking the shaft, but it's not for everyone.
