It would be amazing if you could build terrain, build continents, mounts, islands and such.

The cities can only get as big as the map, which is about 1km x 1km. So no, there is no room to model a real world anything, not to mention most of the buildings grow randomly, so you can't place them. SimCity 4 on the other hand, has a lot more potential for real world cities, but far worse graphics.

You can also not change the terrain, create mountains, build a continent or anything of the sort, you have to pick a pre-made region, and pick a little box to build your city in within the region.

Wow.... this is pathetic i can't believe they would do this after all the crap they have dished out over the last week. EA needs a new CEO ! and new business plan you would think the investors would be screaming especially after they were called the worst company ever. All though I love battlefield and Dice as a dev but this makes me want to boycott EA, but i don't think i could cause BF3 is my crack ! redface.gif and i need more.

EA is just making things difficult for everyone and we can all hope this fiasco gets then to at least back down from such schemes in the near future.
Always online DRM doesn't benefit the customer and in this case everyone lost including Maxis and EA. I can't imagine it's cheap for both money and time to set up such an (arguably) elaborate system only to have disgruntled consumers to show for it.

Anyway, how are the servers now? Any more problems including queues or lost cities?

Waiting qeues still exist, dunno about rollback/ lost cities. Haven't experience that again within the last week.

I haven't had a queue for several days now on NAW1 and 2, but I'm awake in the off hours. Features like Cheetah Speed are still disabled with no time frame on when they will be back up.

The free game they offered as compensation is a joke to say the least. I already have anything on there that is not an FPS, and don't want anything on the list that is...
