Dusty PC.

Thread Starter
Well, my PC was getting rather dusty and my pa vaccuum cleaned it with a extra long pipe and special "head" to the vaccuumcleaner. He said that they were made for cleaning PC's.

Now, i read on the internet that this is dangereous. (Of course i knew this before).

But are there actually safe ways to clean a PC with a vaccuumcleaner?

Don't bother with canned air. Get an electric mini air compressor. Then blast the ***** out if it. It does wonders! rolleyes.gif

I have a PC vacuum made for cleaning out PC's that never caused me any problems, but usually its easier to just grab my air compressor and blow it out, so thats usually what i do. I wouldnt worry much about it unless its not working right afterwards

It's a long plastic tube like, 3 meters long. And a special designed head for PC cleaning. ACCORDING to the package. I'm just wondering!

We have a compressor in the basement, but to drag a 20 KG's PC down 3 staircases is pretty.. Dumb.

I would see nothing wrong or damaging with using a vacuum. You're just sucking air and debris out.

Not to go way off topic, because there's some useful information being thrown about, but for some reason everything in this thread sounds like dirty double entendres to me. The first thing that comes to mind after reading each reply is..."that's what she said". Try it, you'll see.
