EK 7970 Waterblock Question

Thread Starter
On this waterblocks it apperars to only have 1 inlet and 1 outlet on the front. http://www.frozencpu.com/products/17069/ex-blc-1226/EK_Radeon_HD_7970_VGA_Liquid_Cooling_Block_-_Nickel_CSQ_EK-FC7970_-_Nickel_CSQ.html Am i missing something because if this was true i would have to have a snake fitting to my cpu and that would ugly imo. Please somebody clarify does the EK-FC Link thats included solve this problem (does it givem me outlets on the side of the CPU)? I would be using a single card. Thanks

The fc link included with the block only allows the block to be connected to their fc-link system. You can still attach adapters and fittings to the link though. If you want the block to be setup like the more traditional way of gpu waterblocks you will need to purchase the ek-fc bridge single csq. Follow this link http://www.frozencpu.com/products/17611/ex-blc-1378/EK_FC_Bridge_Single_CSQ_-_Plexi_EK-FC_Bridge_Single_CSQ_-_Plexi.html?tl=g30c357s922.

You basically have two options for your ports. Without FC link, inlet and outlet both vertically downward. With FC link, inlet and outlet both horizontally. FC link won't let you have ports towards your CPU but with a 90 degree adapter, it's easy to connect.

Edit> The aforementioned FC link makes it possible to have ports towards CPU.
