Hello there!

This is the very first time im trying to oc in my life. Ive recently upgraded my setup and now I know I have a cpu good enough to do it.

This the hardware I have now:

asus p8z77-m
i7 3770k
hyper 212 evo 2x fan
16gb corsair vengeance 1600mhz C10

Im not looking for anything hardcore, just a safe and cool overclock so I can take advantage of my setup and feel that extra performance. Ive read 4,5ghz would be okay for the 3770k, so something like that is what Id want.

Here are the pics:

One thing I notice though is that when I reset the pc, it started very slowly, way worse than stock clock

I havent tested anything but I have cpu-z, realtemp and prime95.

This guide will tell you everything you need to know. Please read through the whole first post and copy all the settings, except for your RAM timings and voltage which are specific to you.

Once you read through the first post, follow the guide, and start testing just ask questions in the thread. We will be happy to help.

Here are instructions to fill out your rig in your posts:

With your cooler you will be measurably limited by temps, so be careful not to let any core go over 95c at any time. Start with 4.3 or maybe 4.4.
