Best 7970 card?

Thread Starter
im searching for the best 7970 because there are so many of them and the price is not low so i wanna be more confident by asking from people that have used these cards. i dont want to buy the GHZ edition because i will be overclocking this card and would be great if you would give me a good card that can stay cool 24/7 with overclocking.

i was first thinking of buying the Sapphire 7970 OC edition

suggest me something that has overvolting, and a good fan.

The lightning never seems to be in stock, on Newegg at least.

Best dont only mean OCing. You asked what was the best 7970 and for More then just the OC factor, the Lightning is the best card. Of course you can OC a ref model the same as the lightning but you will never hav ethe same cooler or look or quality component or voltage control etc etc. Don't forget that you can also OC your lightning...

I will vote for the 7970 Lightning as well. I do believe the Lightnings use binned chips. I can game at 1275/1600 @ 1280mV under water on mine.

You get for the extra 70 euro the name ' Lightning '

No seriously, its still a bit of a lotto getting a reference card to do exactly the same - hence Lightning all the way! thumb.gif
