I really don't know how people got the idea that BF2 has been the best BF game to date, it was pretty awful, everything from the nade spam, air vehicles being extremely OP, commander = while somewhat important, it was always filled out by people with no idea on how to play the game, the list goes on and on.
If people want a reboot of BF2, I sure hell won't be buying it.
Bring on 2143.
Just because someone likes BF2 over BF3 doesn't mean they don't want the small issues like nade spam, claymores, air vehicles, and other bits improved, it just means they prefer its features and its flaws over BF3.
I miss 6 person squads, I miss squad communication, I miss getting orders, I miss having a commander for support. I miss the threat of actually having to rely on a medic for healing. I didn't mind the pace of the unlocks because it seemed like it kept the game more balanced. Plus, I don't need a billion microincentives to keep playing, the gameplay should keep me there. I also don't see the need for all the expansions, basically makes the base BF3 that I just bought incredibly limited since everyone plays on the other paid maps.
No one wants a reboot, but an improvement on the BF2 formula.
