Even a basic DDC like the mcp350 will blow by the D5 in head pressure. The D5 has very high flow, but high flow is not very useful for our blocks because over 1.5gpm and there are diminishing returns. There's a lot written on the differences and ppl will have very different feelings between the two pumps. Oh, the one thing the D5 really excels in is low noise... er if you run it at low speed IF you have a vario, ie. variable speed one. Also, I should add it is the king of bling as pumps go with all the dress up kits and what not.

But again for me I need head pressure and flexibility and the 35x gives me that, high pressure, small size, PWM control.

Yeah thank you again for the details, I will most likely go with a MCP 35x

Could you recommend any Reservoir, also tubing would be nice (NOW that I have you here I might as well ask all my questions if that is ok with you because I can see that you are experience in wc'ing and have tons of rep )

side note
Will be buying EK blocks nickle plexi for cpu and gpu, fittings will be Enzotechnology Compression Fitting - 1/2" - 3/4" - Matt Black
Rads: Black Ice GT stealth 240 - Black x2

I'm doing a black a white build when haswell comes out which should be soon

No question D5 or 35x, D5 has better flow rate and 35x has stronger head pressure. I like it dead quiet so I usually buy D5`s, am building a large Tec rig and space is a concern so I will use two 35x pumps and dual top for getting sub-zero glycol to move through 4 blocks. D5 I think is more reliable and quiet as a church mouse. thumb.gif
