Firmware updates

Thread Starter
Is there a point where flashing can damage the mouse. A prime example of a mouse that can make you try many different firmwares is the Spawn. I also tend to flash the Kana quite a bit when I want it to return to default settings. Can this damage the mouse if overdone?

If you upgrade the firmware more that 10 million times you might be in danger of the flash failing. So, the flash failing from too many upgrades is not possible,

If you interrupt a firmware update, you can end up with a non-functional mouse.

But no, as long as you follow the directions carefully you will not damage the mouse by continuously re-flashing the firmware.
