Welcome to the forum! Well, these days, Intel's Core 2 Duo processor outperforms the AMD's in gaming, so for a cheap budget, try a E6300 with a Gigabyte S3 motherboard.

What sort of expansion slots were you looking for? And, just so we can get an idea of what we can recommend for you, what will your budget be?

well right now i have a ATI Radeon X800 Pro (AGP 8X/4X) graphics card
id like to keep using it if i could instead of buying a new one to work with the PCI slots

i guess now that i think about it theres not alot id hook into the expansion slots

but i have 1000 right now
but christmas is coming and im about to get a new job
so around the 1 grand range is possible

was the only motherboard i found with AGP
and its got both slots

look decent?

As far as I know, there are no motherboards that support Core 2 Duo and AGP. Here I have put together the backbone of a nice gaming rig. Let me know what you think

That is Socket 754, which is being phased out. I would not purchase that, as it is old technology.
