'SLI' Not on option in Nvidia control panel w/ 2 GTX 680s

OK I recently purchased a second GTX 680 instead of dropping the extraneous dough for a 690 or TITAN. Upon installing it, my computer recognizes a second 680 is installed everywhere that matters (EVGA Precision X, Windows Device Manager, CPU-Z, even NVIDIA control panel...) here is a screenshot of all of the listed applications acknowledging my second GTX 680
http://postimage.org/image/arv9q9snx/

BUT, as you see in the picture if you look hard enough at the NVIDIA control panel. No option to enable SLI is present. JUST "Configure Surround, PhysX" with no mention of SLI.

Upon seeing this I started scouring the internet, I flashed my Bios to the latest version, uninstalled my display drivers, re-installed them, uninstalled them again, then installed beta drivers, switched the direction of my SLI connector, switched the PCIE 3.0 slots my cards are in, scoured my Bios for SOME option to enable SLI. NO LUCK. NVIDIA control panel REFUSES to offer the option to enable SLI. I'm losing my mind!!

Here are my specs:
CPU: Intel I7 3770K
Mobo: Asus Sabertooth Z77
RAM: 32GB GSKILL Ripjaws Z 240-Pin DDR3 2400
GPU: 2x EVGA GTX 680
PSU: Cooler Master Silent Pro M 1000W

PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO ENABLE SLI!!

does the windows devoce manager show a second gpu? all power cables plugged in?
did you use driver sweeper to remove the drivers? if not try ith with that first.

First question: Yes, as is clearly demonstrated in the photo I posted
Second question: Yes, it was the first thing I checked and the cards would not be recognized with a power connector incorrectly connected
Third question: Yes, each time, no luck sadly.

Have you linked you sli'd 680 with an sli bridge, without this sli mode wont show up in nvidia control panel. Re seat your cards into the motherboard again to make sure they are making contact. Uninstall drivers in safe mode and then install latest nvidia drivers at there website, flashing your gfx bios should be the last thing you do.

Maybe your display driver stops working all the time maybe that's why the sli is greyed out, install the driver alone then the physx driver also.

Would you happen to have another SLI bridge you can try? They break sometimes and it's usually the very last thing you'd think about.

Not if it is the same for nvidia, but I had a the same problem with my second 7950.

I had to un and reinstall ccc for it to be recognized. The odd thing was I had just took out 2 6970"s and reinstalled the drivers a few days before.

Bridge is installed, and I have tried every possible way to install it with no luck. Cards are re-seated as hard as I can manage, if they were not seated all 4 programs from the screenshot would not have recognize them as being installed...

I don't...I ordered another one. I am not optimistic though because SLI will work without the connector, just not as efficiently.

can you post a pic of gpu-z showing the entire specs for each card please?
I am looking for the device i.d. of both cards as shown in gpu-z as they must
have the same device i.d. they can have a different bios and clock speed & they
must also have the same amount of v-ram.
