Help Overclocking (754 Sepron 3000+) - Page 2

Only having 1GB of RAM will also slow things down. If you increase to 1.5 or 2 GB then you'll see big jumps in performance.

if you double or add 50% more memory doesnt exactly mean you are getting performance out of it, if you go onto your Page file in windows then your performance will be affect.

http://www.e-woc.co.uk/DisplayDetail.aspx?which=13114

replace your CPU with that, and i ensure you, performance will definately go alot faster... you could also try Ebay for SKT 754 CPU aim for a AMD Athlon64 S754 3000+ or above thats 2GHz or better, SKT 754 is becoming out of date fast so people are going to be trying to flog them over ebay, especially as it is getting closer to christmas

hey donny-u , is it a prebuilt pc by any chance? eg dell, hp etc etc ?

if it is then unfortunately you wont be able to overclock unless you buy a new motherboard

yep basically same question as mootin, you have to realise too that some Motherboards dont have the oppotunity for overclocking which isnt good at all, and software overclocking isnt as stable as bios overclocking.
