3770k or wait for haswell?

Thread Starter
I game alot, soon I will be getting another unlocked HD6950. I was going to buy a 3770k, should I just go with that since I'll be using two dedicated GPUs instead of the onboard video?

Given that you have an i7 already, I'd wait until Haswell if you want the best performance boost.

Nah, your i7 950 is more than fine still. Wait till Haswell, you don't need to upgrade yet.

i understand your point. but the thing is.that a 3770k would be an overkill even for his CF setup
even a 2500k is sufficient and his 950 ( if he have it OCed ) brings enough power.

an upgrade to a 3770k would bring not much of improvement.
he got 8mb cache so OP.. did u OC yo cpu? if 4+ghz then i see you have a relative balanced rig.
if its still not enough, then maybe a used 2500k/2600k would do the job.

With what you have already I would just wait. Doing a upgrade now would be more of a side grade anyway the performance just would not be worth in my opinion.
