Thanks StayFrosty, yeah I'm going with the 6300. Plus, I can sell the GX280 desktop (for whatever reason people still buy them like crazy) and 650Ti card on eBay to get a better graphics card with that money.
And lol! I bought a 2001 325xi sedan, which is part of their defunct "E46" line of cars. I knew next to nothing about BMW's so I wanted to get a cheap used one for starters, instead of blowing $40k+ on new model. I've always bought new cars before, so this was virgin territory for myself.
I did the typical homework (AutoCheck report, saw all maintenance records, etc.) before buying. The thing is, you can fill your brain with as much info as possible but you'll never truly know how the previous owner actually drove the car. That's the main unknown factor when buying used.
I spent more than 2 hours driving around with the owner, so it's not like he was rushing me, but I should have had a pre-purchase inspection done. I talked him down to only $3,500 so it's not like I blew a lot of cash and totally regret the buy but all the money I spent fixing it pretty much equaled the usual selling price for this particular model that's in perfect working condition.
I expected issues because it was used, but not for everything to hit so quickly.
Now, I can't say all the little surprises that popped-up made me lean away from any future BMW purchases because this is an older used car, but it doesn't exactly make me want to run out and buy another one right away.
