the cpu is 8 threads, decent for its price, and the main purpose of the rig is to be a gaming rig medium level gaming which will last me for 5+ years.

the mobo, is ok i guess i trust the company, i heard ASROCK is one step below asus ?

cooling, i like the liquid cooling if i were to overclock it, my friend has a similar set up and is running it at 5.1Ghz

ram, the latency is good for its price, and 1600 is the highest that is compatible with the CPU

the gpu is overclocked, and i won't be running crysis 3 or anything that high so i think i'm good for now

case is roomy, looks good, many slots, good ventilation

psu was recomended by a friend, also i need a psu of minimum 400W and if i were to upgrade in the future i would just keep this one, good rating and on sale

So many things wrong with your last statement, sorry to say.

CPU, you are quite correct, will the CPU last 5+ years, not a chance

Mobo, Asrock is quite a few steps below Asus, but it also depends on the board, the Asrock Extreme 4 is a better budget board then the Asus you picked out

Cooling, for your budget, air cooling is the way to go, your friend must have a pretty insane custom loop to be able to run 5.1 GHz, either that or he is lying, which is more likely the case because I haven't seen a single person on this forum running that CPU at 5.1 for daily use.

Case is meh, the Fractal Design R4 is much better and like $10ish more

For the PSU, I wouldn't even consider anything below 500W at this time due to the new stuff coming out, you can usually take a PSU though multiple builds, but it has to be large enough to accomodate the newer parts.

Sorry to sound like a dick

When asking for advice it is perfectly OK to question things, but also, OP, you need to put some faith in these guys. Many of them know what they're talking about.

You should NOT go solely by brand. That will quickly cloud your judgement and keep you from seeing other much better value and/or better performing alternatives out there. The rig i put together in my first post will destroy your sale rig, while being cheaper.

Now, I'm eagerly waiting to see how next gen single GPU setup will draw more than that 450W Capstone can handle. I totally agree that he should get a aircooler though.

This.

I can tell when someone is trying to condescend everyone, and he was definatly doing just that. I don't know if I want to help him anymore.

The Rosewill Tachyon 550 Platinum modular is on sale @ newegg for $75 after mir with free shipping. That is probably the best PSU you can get for the money that I have seen recently. The R4 is a great case, I have one next to me but get whatever makes you smile. For RAM I am going to push Samsung Green like I always do.

I don't want to spec you out a machine since you seem set on a few things but here are some general tips for a $1000 gaming rig with no OS.

3570k, no question.
7950, very hard to question, forget bells and whistles and CPU coolers and OCing. This is a gaming rig, get a friggin good GPU. If you want a liquid cooled CPU or a big heatsink, upgrade later. The CPU comes with a cooler.
SSD, a good idea but don't sacrifice GPU for a SSD. You will need more space than 120GB anyway. May as well get a classic now and upgrade to SSD later.
GTX 650? By gaming do you mean solitaire? Just kidding, but really that GPU is garbage for a $1k gaming rig.

Final note: Many of the people commenting here have plenty of experience with building PCs. We all have a bit of ego with our recommendations as you do with your op build. But, it's worth listening and checking out what people are telling you...... 7950, make it work

1) Skip the 3770k, for heaven's sake. 8 threads doesn't mean double performance when it comes to intel HT yet
2) GTX650? You got to be kidding me man? You put that into a 1000$ gaming rig and you're only going to get giggles from people! Get a 7870XT ( Powercolor 7870 PCS+ Myst, Sapphire HD7870 XT, VTX3D 7870 Black Edition, Club3D 7870 jokerCard)
3) If you only need 1 PSU for now skip the corsair, it's too expensive as there are much more higher performance PSUs
4) Get rid of the ASUS board, the only boards to ever buy from ASUS are their ROG boards or Sabertooth. Buy a Z77X-D3H
5) Seidon 120M is going to give you a big dissapointment, if you want great performance buy a Seidon 240M instead. Or a CM Hyper 212+ will do the job
6) G.Skill ... Get Samsung Greens (MV3V4G3D) instead, they won't be dissapointing you
7) Phantom, You're not going to need a phantom full tower and on top of that it looks awful. I rather buy a Shinobi or something and you can get rid of the extra USB3 frontpanel
Or else Switch 810 or a Rosewill Blackhawk-ultra
8) 520 series ... your money towards a Kingston HyperX 3K 120G is better put

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/IQE0
Note : The RAMs are not inside because it is momentarily OOS but anyway they cost about 50$ so not a big dent and it's just nicely 1000$

Question: What are you playing with a GTX 650? The mismatch between CPU and GPU is insane. A GTX 650 is actually weaker than GTX 570, GTX 560 Ti, and GTX 560.

Question 2: What specifically are you playing? Is it NVIDIA CUDA based, doe sit use PhysX? And do you care about PhysX?

An i7 + GTX 650 build is pretty much unheard of

You'll want a HD 7870 Tahiti LE , HD 7950 or GTX 660 or GTX 660Ti at the very least if you're going to dump 100 more on an i7-3770k instead of a GPU.
