First mech. if it counts...

Ok so I was tired of hearing my wife complain about my gaming wearing out the keys on cheap keyboards. I decided to go out on a limb and check newegg for openbox mechs. I ended up purchasing the Tt esports meka
I have to say that typing on it is a pleasure. Gaming is equally awesome. The only problems with the board is the small backspace and the position of the ? key.

Anyways my thing is, the board is kind of ... plain. I have been looking into some key caps. All I really want is wasd keys.... Maybe in a red (to match the board) or black with red lettering or even white with red letters. I am a complete noob to the mech scene and have no idea if they will even work on my board or where to find something that will.

Any help is appreciated .

You can get keycaps on ebay. Just search for "cherry mx keycaps", all keyboards with cherry mx switches have the same keycaps (at least for most of the keys).

Also I too have the very same keyboard, but eu layout (big backspace and 2row enter) and its perfect for me. The two things I do in it is program and play starcraft 2, its great for booth activities. The sound the keys make while typing or playing is just so lovely.
Let me just tell you one thing in advance, the lettering on the keys you use most frequently will start to "fade" really fast. But dont worry, I it wont get erased, just fade a bit because there are little canals on top of the keycaps and the paint is partially inside them - kinda like dye sublimated keys i guess, but not as good. I have had mine for about 3 months now, and the shift key (this is the one I use the most) has not changed since the initial fading.

Good to hear. That is one reason I want to change the gaming keys. I know they will be the first to fade.

wasdkeyboards.com is a good place to get keycaps (especially if you only want the wasd group). You can find the group on ebay (or similiar) but wasd give you some customization options for 1.00 dollars a key.
