I enjoy my 660's, I got them for $175 each so I can't complain. Two for the price of a single used 670 and they perform well. Cards like the 7870XT might be a little faster but I've seen almost a 50/50 split with people either having good results or awful ones with those.

Did a search and i cant seem to find the 660 hawk anywhere. I wonder if it was ever released in the states

Here is the $220/$200 one I'm looking at. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127699
For some reason right now it is cheaper than the regular model with one fan so that's why I'm trying to make a fast decision. The same thing is $244/224 after mir from amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/MSI-GeForce-Graphics-N660-TF/dp/B0094CX8QI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1362860788&sr=8-1&keywords=msi+660

My only real reservation is that if I tried running 1920x1200 at VERY HIGH on crysis 3 I might run into some slow downs.

http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/crysis_3_graphics_performance_review_benchmark,7.html

I ignored the 7870 because it scored lower than the 660 at least in this comparison anyway and costs more.

Would the 660 Combine well with my GTS 250? I haven't really looked up how dedicated physx works yet.

And here's a picture for fun. I think I have enough room for both.

They don't have the 660 Hawk... They only have this one from MSI . That's the one i have myself, some people get up to 1254Mhz-1280Mhz, some do 1220-1240MhZ with over-volt. It just depends... both my cards go up to 1293mhz in SLI, and they can do 1320mhz, and 1306 Single card wise. They are good cards, and i am glad i sold my 670 for them biggrin.gif.. That reference 670 was no good tongue.gif

Yeah I will soon, I take it outside in the driveway when it gets nicer outside. So you like that card better than the reference 670? There's a guy selling PNY's for $325.
I'm not sure I will need the extra power of the 670 as I don't really plan on going much past 1920x1200. I think the safe bet is getting the one 660 MSI card, and IF it really is necessary then I have SLI as an option.
How soon will these 660's get replaced by new hardware and I wonder if it's going to be as dramatic of a difference as it was after fermi. Although, I was never sold on fermi being good so that's why i'm still on the 250.

In months, newer cards should be released, but i don't know when, and though they will be released, they will not totally "replace" the 600 series, because the prices of those new cards will be higher (from what i have heard). Besides, the 600 series can play almost all games out there at max settings 1080p, so i doubt we will call that a replacement. You will enjoy your 660 wink.gif. I game at 1080p 120HZ, so the 660 SLI was the best option for me. I literally sold my 670 and added 20$ to get dual 660's in SLI lol tongue.gif.. "Best deal ever"

I run sleeping dogs with max settings (but high AA) not extreme, and i get this fps Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

i get this in Extreme settings Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I don't see a difference with Extreme AA and High AA tongue.gif, and i'll trade 58 fps avg for 112 fps any day biggrin.gif

It even still fairs well on high resolutions like 2560x1600 wink.gifWarning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
