op, you were originally shooting for 680 sli - do you know that 2 7950 can pretty much equal the 680 sli?

if i were you, i'd just go with 2 7950s and watercool your system. that x79 is gonna need it.

Im planning on running a custom loop with a dedicated Radiator Res and Pump for CPU and Dedicated Res Rad Pump for GPUs. I was just going to go with the 3820 for now because of my budget. Can anyone pont me in the direction for trifire 7950 and 7970 Benchmarks? I do appreciate all of your alls help.

watercooling can be daunting at first but the temps you will achieve if done right would just be amazing.
