[DO] EA Refusing Refunds Over Simcity. - Page 18

Well, honestly EA has been one of the worst companies ever lately, and this just proves it more and more. I hope this goes BIG and they get the worst publicity possible. Maybe than they will give refunds and change the way they do things...but who am i kidding..

Exactly, so why should people pay $60 for a title they can't play and allow EA a few days to permit the product's use?

Maybe they will lose more money on refunds than they would have lost if they just let people pirate the game in the first place.

The next thing will be they sell a "DRM removal patch" which will make it even more ironic.

What will prove it more if EA ignores everyone's complaints and does nothing to rectify the problem, aside from fixing the servers. That alone is not enough in this case. They need to offer partial refunds, total refunds, game credit....something to make it right. Follow Blizzard's lead I say. Personally, I want my money back. I simply wont ever buy another game through Origin again.

This guy's got it right. On topic however, I think I'd have to agree with the no refunds policy on this one, simply because it's an issue that can be resolved and if you're a customer of EA you either live under a rock and don't have any issues with their practices so this doesn't upset you, or you are fully aware and shouldn't be shocked at all about the situation; Either way resulting in this not being an issue for anyone who doesn't actually own the game and this thread kinda dumb...

This could explain a couple people ITT. ninja.gif

Wow that is beyond sad, how much lower is EA willing to sink?

I will be sharing that with friends, family, coworkers and the already ongoing discussion on my community's website.

Do I like drm? No.

I think you may have the most realistic view here. DRM sucks, but it exists whether we like it or not.

Easy, dispute the charge with your credit card issuer (assuming you used a credit and not a debt card). Credit card companies almost always side with the buyer and cancel payment to the merchant. Problem solved.

You're enablers.

YOU'RE the reason DRM exists in the first place. It doesn't exist whether we like it or not, it exists because you allow it to exist by buying it anyway even if you disagree with it.

You hate EA but you buy their games anyway? For the love of god, acquire some common sense. Vote with your wallet. People like you make me extremely frustrated.
