when will price of 7950s drop - Page 2

They are creeping back up. At least around here they are not up to $300 and rising. The card that was on sale for $270 AR is now $300 AR.

Do you want us to help you pick good parts for your PC?

Give us what you're willing to spend. Are you thinking about $800-$1,000? If you've accepted that you're not going to have enough until at least September, you might as well wait until then! Otherwise you'll buy half of your parts that will just sit around for 5 months, then buy the other half down the road (when instead, you could just buy all of them 5 months for now for less!)

If you want a decent card cheap the obvious solution is ebay. I sold my 7950 for £195 boxed in perfwct condition a couple of moths ago.

IMO prices are pretty cheap right now. Considering they are sub $300 and they are offering a $50-60 game bundle (if you sell it) its a pretty good deal. I can see them rising in price if anything because the price for the game bundle will get cheaper as the games get older.

You can save almost 100 on just the psu. Overkill and overpriced. In response to the op. Prices dont go down. Even when next gen is released there will just be a short liquid sale and that its. Intel wont drop its prices at all. They havent dropped prices on previous gen since the p4. That way it creates incentive for consumers to continue moving forward. Most people would be perfectly fine with a c2d powering their dd and if they did lynnfield, bloomfield, nehalem, sandy, and ivy all would've flopped compared to what they did on the market now. Sorry op but the only way I see you saving money is switching it up for a 7870 xt (tahiti le) and a rosewill capstone 550 would be perfect for your setup. Theres 150 saved lol. Could save another 40-50 on the cooler. H100 is overpriced when high end air competes. Xigmatek Dark Knight 2, Thermalright Arrow, Megahelms, etc are all 50 or more less than the h100.

My modded skyrim goes just over 3 gigs of vram. But skyrim is the only reason I bought the 4 gb version.

And OP. Save that 100 on the psu and only get 1 gpu to start off. Add another later.

id use a 550 power supply no problem but im quite fond of fully modular is it one of those

and 7870 is that 1 or 2 of them and would it be ideal for surround gaming

what do u think of the h80i or something like that and i had to go for a air cooler id probaly go with the silver arrow
